Puppy Chow
A lot of my recipes were passed down by my grandma. She spent a lot of time with me and my siblings growing up, and as being the only grandchild interested in baking, a deeper relationship blossomed. Puppy chow was one of the first recipes she taught me, which had been passed down by her grandma. It was the first baked good that I felt confident making, and would often share it with my neighbours. This was the recipe that taught me baking creates a community.

Recipe:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup chocolate chips
1 box of corn pop cereal
2 cups powdered sugar
Directions:
Place a pot on medium heat and add your chocolate chips. Once the chocolate chips are half melted you will add your peanut butter. Once the chocolate chips and peanut butter are fully melted and combined you will take the pot off the stove. Grab the biggest bowl you have in your kitchen and add half the box of corn pops. To the corn pops you will add half your chocolaty peanut butter mix, and fold them together until the corn pops are completely covered. Then you can add the remainder of the corn pops and chocolaty peanut butter mix to the bowl, ensuring everything is covered in the mix.
Now that our corn pops are covered, you will need a big zip-lock bag or plastic bag. To your plastic bag you will add the powdered sugar and covered corn pops. Then you seal the bag and shake! Once the corn pops are all covered in powdered sugar, you can transfer them onto a cookie sheet to let them set (20 minutes tops) which is the final step. After the chocolatey peanut butter mix and powdered sugar are set, you are left with puppy chow!
